Ladder Man Conquers Requiem

Just home from an epic evening of jugging for me (which is hard as it turns out) and death scrambling for Al… all in the name of Will’s big send!!!  It started last season and after falls (one particularly large one), frustration and many inappropriately timed rain showers, the first ground up ascent has been made of Requiem, E8 6b, at Dumbarton Rock. Shabba!

It wasn’t the angle I’d had in mind, and I’d have liked a blue sky for these pictures, but I’m glad I hauled my butt up there in the end (thanks Alan for use of your rope). Top dollar Will! The whole Dumbarton crowd, including drunk kids, were behind you all the way. Even the rain avoided you tonight.
